Projects
Volunteer Kenya Ventures projects are divided into the following categories. Placements will be arranged under these areas of volunteer or internship opportunities.
Volunteer Teachers
- This project is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals
to work as volunteer teachers. It requires English language
(TEFL certificate not required) and mathematics and science
teachers. Volunteers contribute stationery and teaching materials
of their own choice. | |
Volunteer at Orphanage
- This project creates inspiring educational opportunities for
orphaned, rescued and abandoned children. It is looking for
chefs, writers, film makers, artists, teachers, dancers, musicians
and singers. Volunteers can stay at the orphanage for free.
Food is provided during working hours. |
Medical / Nursing Projects
- This project is looking for clinical mentors in a wide variety
of medical specialities including general medicine, primary
care, paediatrics, child health, infectious diseases, and many
other fields. |
Veterinary Project
- This project offers volunteers to help work in villages to
offer sterilisation and treatments to pets and domestic animals.
It is looking for qualified vets to help with an ongoing mass
sterilisation campaign. |
HIV/AIDS Projects - This
project is looking for volunteers to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS,
offer care and support and mentor caregivers by giving skills
and techniques. Volunteers will help in fundraising |
Youth Projects - This
project is looking for volunteers to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS
among th youth. Project will involve youth programmes (i.e.
arts and crafts, breakdancing, education, health, human rights,
nutrition, vocational training, sports etc). |
